Pro-Bel Chyron model 885000
Hi,
i'm searching for some information about a Pro-Bel Chyron model 885000 (19" rack). It contains a psu (220V) and a CPU (Controller) card. Front side has 4 buttons (MIXER, EMERG, , TAKE) and a 4 digit Status Display. Back side has only a RS-485 connector. Maybe someone know somethig about this Video Equpment. Thanks Peter |

This is almost certainly a "one off" special, possibly uisng one of their standard cards customised to do a particular job for a customer.

Re: Pro-Bel Chyron model 885000
Jeffery is almost certainly correct. Probel had a sophisticated broadcast routing system (256x256 is not uncommon) which is always customised to suit customers' operational requirements. This looks like a custom control panel to cut to an emergency source should the normal source fail. The alpha-numeric window shows the mnemonic of the source selected (CAM1, STU4, etc.). Without the system controller and the router, the unit is pretty useless unless you can get into the controller board.
