Default Source for rectangular LED's?

I am trying to repair the illuminated display on modern radio. It has an LCD screen with a thin Perspex panel which slides behind it which has 2 led's incorporated shining down the edge of the Perspex. They have gone faulty and flashing irraticly. I need replacement LED's which are flat not tubular. Does anyone know where I can get these please.

I've just done a similar repair, but for the lcd screen on a set of kitchen scales. I used 3mm leds and just filed them flat on a bit of sandpaper.

Thanks Kevin. I did consider that but worried I'd go too far.

My memory was playing me false, I thought I had several strips of new ones, but all I could find was these - see pic. If any are of use, I'll pop them in the post.

Andy.

PS, not sure why I put the round ones in the pic.

Thanks all for your response. Andy. I want blue and I dont see any but thanks for your offer.
I do believe I'll be fixed up. I searched for ages and couldn't see any but have now found several suppliers.
Please close mods.
