Default BSR AG4 Ampligram (78 deck with PA amplifier)

Well, I could probably find somewhere to stow this in the attic in Fakenham, but as I've not set about restoring it in the last 20 years I most likely wouldn't in the next 20 either.

Readily portable, but very heavy, black crackle finished steel case containing Collaro record deck and what looks to be a promising amplifier: valves 6Q7G, 6SN7GT, two 6V6G and rectifier 5Z4G. Untested and condition as seen, 20 for collection from 5 miles west of Durham.

Fascinating to see BSR using a Collaro motor etc.

Yes, and the only other reference I've come across to this particular piece of equipment is

https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?p=716736

which refers to it using a Garrard arm and motor. Seems the main product we remember BSR for may have been the part of the record player they took longest to start producing for themselves.

I'll add a view beneath the amplifier chassis for good measure.

I think that Collaro geared direct drive motor was also used on the Emidicta magnetic disc dictation machines.
