Diode, Triode and Hexode - what do these mean?
I'm fairly new to the forum and would like to thank all the members for their help so far.
I have one question, what's the deal with all these diodes and triodes that appear alongside each members name? I assume it's some sort of hierarchy but I'd like to know how it works, what are the rules etc. Not that's it's a competition, it's just interesting and fun! Thanks. |

All forums that use vBulletin software will display something similar depending on your post count. The terms displayed are defined by the forum administrator when configuring the forum.
For a totally unrelated forum that uses the same software platform, see here. Paul |

Re: Diode, Triode and Hextode
We could get clever and go for a single cavity Magnetron for say 10,000 posts, and then increase this by the number of cavities - think 8 cavities would be the maximum - good for 80,000 posts......

Re: Diode, Triode and Hextode
So Klystron at 5,000 and Magnetron at 10,000 for now? I'll be a while before we need to go higher than that.

Re: Diode, Triode and Hexode
I think the question has been answered now, so we'll close the thread before the post count gets to EABC80 proportions.
