Default Cyrus PSX (for the Cyrus 2)

A recent underrated fuse (3A) which should have been 5A, has made me consider whether I should change the large electrolytic capacitors in this power supply.

Thoughts, if so what make and models, and where to obtain them ?

Some background to your question can be found here: https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/soli...ains-plug.html

It looks like you are concerned about the state of the capacitors because the power supply was running with a 3A instead of 5A fuse in the mains plug.

I don't see how this can harm the capacitors in any way.

You're deducing that the main reservoirs have gone high ESR because they couldn't muster enough surge current on turn-on to pop the under size fuse?

A fuse should blow at the rated current, taking 1000 hours to do so. Run them a bit lower and the time goes up somewhat slowly at first. THey are not precision knife-edge devices. Only in Hollywood thrillers.
