Default Re: Date Coding for Hunts / Erie capacitors

UYU is another code in the transition phase where there might or might not have been a Yr Wk Wk scheme. It decodes correctly to June 66 using Yr Mth Mth and is invalid as Wk Wk Yr (*week 60). But we have scant evidence of the existence of Yr Wk Wk, such as N WI mentioned above. This would indeed make it Feb 66 but I am not yet persuaded.

I hope soon to get the occasional day off to start re-organising my collection in its new location. As part of that I need to update my inventory and take down serial numbers etc. of many items that have arrived since the last major update. That should identify a number of chassis from the mid 60s that have not yet been checked for cap dates. With any luck there will be a useful sample from around the format changeover to investigate. As I mentioned upthread, it is quite helpful to my research to date the manufacture as accurately as I can, so it's not a waste of time to check them out.
