Default Correct resistance of Ferranti U1015(1016?) Volume Control?

I am currently repairing/rebuilding a Ferranti U1015(or is it1016?) MW/LW radio, in which the volume control had been replaced with a 250k Log pot.
I was expecting to find either a 500k or 1 Meg pot. Does anyone lnow if 250k is the correct value? Seems a tad low to me.

The Circuit for the U1015 that I have shows it as 1M.

Confiming my suspicions-someone had fitted the only available log pot. they had. I'll have to change it again. Probably have to use a 2 Meg Log pot shunted with a 2M2 resistor, or substitute the 250k track in the one I fitted with a 1Meg log track from an unswitched pot.

I have now obtained, courtesy of member 'oldboffin' a NOS 1meg log pot, fitted it to the Ferranti, with, as expected, more volume, and generally better results.
