The next workshop!
Well, the first one went well!
Seeing as I need to book a location well in advance, it makes sense to plan ahead. Yep, another poll - please vote as you feel. This time I have included the option of a workshop at Dulwich - this will need a lot more planning and consultation, but I do not want to bother Gerry until I have an idea of real interest. Cheers all Sean

Re: The next workshop!
For those who are coming from the North, Dulwich is not easy as you have to find your way round London.
Having said that, I would love to visit the museum so I would vote for Dulwich. Looking forward to it,whatever the venue. |

Re: The next workshop!
I voted for Cottered because it is such a drag trying to get across London and the extra time would make it not worthwhile for me. Date I don't mind at this stage, lunch and format as last time is good.

Re: The next workshop!
June, especially the latter part will be difficult as we have a special family function on the weekend of 24th - 26th.

Re: The next workshop!
I'm in. Same format as before, I think it worked well and had a pleasant atmosphere.
May I suggest Sun May 29th? Weekend after Stockwood park, good chance to get spares / new projects. Also start of half term, so more likely to be allowed out to play. Rob.

Its also the May bank holiday which mean some families including mine might wish to go away for a few days break.

I have voted for June and would be happy with either venue. Thanks for starting this off Sean, your hard work made the last event a real success.

Re: The next workshop!
June 19th is the Newbury rally, and also Father's day.
How about June 12th? Rob.

Re: The next workshop!
June 12th would be fine for me but I'll be away after that, however April and May are fine. The sooner the better, really!

Re: The next workshop!
Hi Sean, I would love to come to the next workshop, can I provisionally book two spaces for John and me.
If places are limited we are happy to have one table between us as we did before. I will vote on the poll later when I have spoken to John in case he has any preferences. I am fairly flexable as far as dates and location, The Museum would mean a longer journey but well worth the extra effort. Did you see my message about the Bush bottom cover? Oh and I promise, no more big bangs! (Hopefully)

Re: The next workshop!
Hi W'shoppers,
I've voted! Would it be possible to add the option in the specialist poll of AR88's only? I'm willing to loan one to anyone who hasn't got one to bring along Just a thought! I'll check the bookings for Cottered over the 3 month window and post results. Onewatt

Re: The next workshop!
Hi All
Just checked available dates and thought it best to show the list straight away due to limited options in June. April: 10th, 17th,24th available, 17th includes ladies football for you sporting enthusiasts May: 1st,15th,22nd & 29th available. June 5th,19th available. The above dates are available at the moment, but I think it would be advantages to decide on a date reasonably quickly. Regards to all Chris

Re: The next workshop!
I feel this is going to need an executive decision making re Cottered vs Dulwich, since the poll makes little sense.
Then we can concentrate on which dates are suitable for everyone. Like Chris says, we're going to need to book the Hall soon (if that's where we decide). Rob.

Re: The next workshop!
The poll at the moment is in favour of Cottered.
May I remind anyone coming from anywhere but South London, Kent and Surrey, that you will have to cross Central London to get to Dulwich. South of Hyde Park Corner there are no fast or wide roads, even the South Circular RD is made up of different high streets! It will take at least 45 mins from Junction 1 of the M1 (Staples Cnr) or Brent Cross A41 to Dulwich the same from the A40. From the M11, an hour to an hour and a half. Please bear this in mind when deciding where you wish to go. The Alternative if we really wanted Dulwich is to find some local accommodation and make a weekend of it. The 15th May is the BVWS is the National Vintage Communications Fair at Warwickshire, 4th June is the Garden party at Dulwich Please bear this in mind when booking. |

Re: The next workshop!
I've voted for Cottered mainly because there is far more room than at Dulwich. Workshop days at the museum were great fun, but shortage of bench space means that with any more than 8 students, they are getting in each other's way all the time.
