Default Dansette Diplomat power supply

Hi all

I recently purchased a Dansette Diplomat and was wondering if anyone on here has experience fitting an alternative power supply in them (I am toying with the idea of fitting a rechargeable battery unit like the one on a PURE). Any ideas?

This should run well with a standard AC Mains to 9V adaptor. Even an old 9V phone charger? Make sure the polarity is correct. As for using a mains rechargeable 9V pack, this would need to be searched out from the many specialist battery suppliers.

connect a PP9 battery or 2 in sync they last ages and i mean ages or you can buy them battery boxes where you can slip 6 C size batteries in to make 9 volt again will last a long time, mine is run by the 2 PP9's synced together i can upload a pic so you can see how they connect etc.
before going mad, id connect a 9volt first to see if there life in it and if the cartridge ( most likely dead being a crystal cartridge ) is ok
