Default Timewatch BBC4 Spy Radio 6/5/20

"Double Agent; The Eddie Chapman Story". On last night and strongly recommended via I Player. Wireless content and much, much more. One write up says "every ten minutes is another film". A combination of Ronnie Biggs, James Bond and Roger Moore.

It seems to have been first shown in 2011 and then 2016 [originally a BBC2 Doc]. See also the BBC article by Ben Macintyre Presenter/Author [Tuesday 15/11/11] same heading! All about finding the story in the National Archives. Agent ZigZag!

I have the book "Agent ZigZag". It was also made into a film "Triple Cross".

Thanks Graham. Might not have found that 1966 film. It will probably turn up on TPTV but I will check my other sources

Thanks for the pointer Dave. Very good viewing, what a Boy's Own adventure. I recall the film Triple Cross about him, but it was a pretty poor effort if I recall correctly.

Hi Folks, a good programme, a pity that the authentic looking red phone box, where he reported to the police that he was back in England had a push button telephone and no buttons A & B
