Default Information about a TEAC XR-30H.

Hi,

I have just found a TEAC XR-30H in my dads loft and wondering if anyone can help me with any information about it?

Pictures are attached for reference.

Thanks in advance

I have no specific knowledge of that unit, but it appears to be a multi-track data recorder. Looks like it uses a domestic VHS video cassette to record multiple channels, with a much greater bandwidth compared to a regular audio recorder. It would have been used for scientific, military, telecoms, law enforcement or may be even espionage applications. An interesting find.
