Default Bang & Olufsen MX1500 - Battery replacement?

Hello everyone!

My battery in my Bang & Olufsen MX1500 is bad. The TV doesn't remember it's settings anymore. I'm looking for a new replacement battery but I'm not very sure which to buy.

My biggest question is, should these type of batteries inside TV's be rechargeable?

Here some info about the battery:
N110AAl2AL7
110mAh 2.4V Cd Cd

And here's some pictures of the current battery:

If I can buy one from Ebay that would be great!

Cheers!

Hi,
yes this battery is a rechargeable type. I think a nicad one. Note the white stuff on the end of the battery, this is where it has leaked, so please be careful when you remove the battery as this is likely to be corrosive.

The MX1500 uses the Philips CP90 chassis. The battery is a 2.4 Volt rechargeable Nickel Cadmium battery. Failure is a common fault with this era of TVs.

Those Philips 1.2 volt and 2.4 volt Ni-Cads have been unavailable for some time.

A PCMB-2.4 from www.mouser.com should do the job although the exact dimensions may be slightly different.

I've used Ni-Mh (Varta/Varta Mempac) equivalents in VCRs with good results. In fact I had one powered up the other day that had been unplugged for the best part of a year, and to my astonishment it was still holding the correct time and date!

Thank you guys so much for the answers!
Since I live in Europe, I'm having a hard time tracking down/order parts from like, Mouser.

So, would something like this work, although only 80mAH?

Ideally the capacity needs to be around the same as the original so anything above the 100ma mark will suffice.

The clue is the voltage. Ni-Cd is 1.2 V per cell so 2 cells must be 2.4V
