Back panel question, Ambassador 545
Hello,
I've got a lovely Ambassador 545 radio I'm going to start work on. It's the AC only version with a transformer which I think makes it a 545H, or at least that's where my research has led me so far. Can I ask if the back panel is original? The 545h on radiomusem has no back. Maybe someone has one? Thanks, Gabriel Last edited by Gabe001; 26th Sep 2020 at 8:04 pm. |

Re: Back panel question, ambassador 545
Definitely not. The original had small holes drilled in hexagon patterns and was made from the more usual chocolate brown fibre board.

Re: Back panel question, ambassador 545
Yes thanks, I thought so. It's very odd though. Maker went through the effort of getting the appropriate wording on, but cut the panel short, instead of going all the way to the bottom.
