Reception Set R109
My R109 had its capacitors replaced a few years ago and has been working fine. Recently the volume control has not worked -it's stuck on full volume. I have tested the 1 meg pot and it measures up OK. I have even substituted a new one in its place and it's the same scenario. What should I be looking for to fix it?

Re: Reception Set R109
Is there a resistor in series with the vol pot.Or one end is not to ground.

Re: Reception Set R109
There are several 1 meg resistors in the lines to the volume pot.I will check the values and replace as necessary.

Re: Reception Set R109
A point worth noting the vol pot goes to "HT -ve" not earth/ chassis. The circuit is avalible on line at "VMARS"

Re: Reception Set R109
Volume control now working. In the grid voltage supply line the 1 meg R1k resistor needed replacing.
