Default DER/ Ferguson 8940

Managed to come across one of these really cheap, am I right in thinking a 3v29/30 belt kit will fit this? Not had it apart yet as i would like to have all bits ready for when I do. I have a wired remote for the 3v30 so will give that a try.

Cheers

The 3V39 and the 8940 are both rebadges of the JVC HR-7200 so the mechanism is the same on these machines. The belt kit will fit it.

Hi, The Baird/DER 8940 was a re-branded JVC HR7350 which was never produced as a Ferguson equivalent.

It's basically the linear stereo version (with Dolby) of the Ferguson 3V30/JVC HR7300 or Baird/DER 8930 so, as dj_fivos_sak already mentions, a 3V29/30 belt kit will be fine for this model.

Regards

Andrew
