Re: Valves
The difficulty with using these valves for home projects is that they have nonstandard heater voltages, since they were designed to be used in a 100mA series heater chain. The W119 is an RF pentode with a 13V heater and could be used to build a one valve radio using one of the many circuits available (e.g. here). A 12V supply should be adequate for the heater. The X119 could be used to build this MW microtransmitter if you can find a 19V heater supply.
If you can find a 40V heater supply you could use the 10F18 and DH109 to build a 2 valve radio, wiring the heaters in series. |

Re: Valves
Or you could flog or swap them for some E series valves with a 6.3V heater.
In fact if you fancy it PM me I could do with some U series valves for stock and have loads of E series stuff which would be good for experiments. Jay

Re: Valves
So... build an FM/AM radio! For safety use a 240V iso TX and a capacitor dropper for the heater chain.
