Thanks Guys for the kind comments. And, thanks Karl for the "before & after" pictures. I'd forgotten just how grotty the poor old scope used to be.
A wooden scope with an internal sheet copper screen is certainly unique compared to my long ago experience of servicing & repairing RAF test equipment. God, when I think back to those lumps of metal made by Hartleys, the 13A - spit-spit, there is no comparison.
Well, outside work beckons again.

That's impressive work David!

It gives me some encouragement to sort out my scope which is still in 'as found' condition although I have looked out a spare EHT rectifier valve as this was missing in my unit.
