Default Revox PR99 query

Hi all, I’m in the process of giving my PR99 a little service and check over. I’ve found an odd anomaly. It’s a MkII model. I’ve set the input levels, VU meter, peak readings ok. These are all measured from the monitor output socket. The next stage is to set playback from the calibration tape, again all good. But, I’ve noticed that when changing from the monitor output to the line output with the input switch set at source the left hand VU meter shows a maximum deflection (and some!) but the millivolt meter/scope remain good (same as the monitor output) at 1000kH 775mV 0dB. The right channel remains the same as well.
Any suggestions as to why? Mike.
