Huh?

I saw the cartirdge offer, but nothing about the Televisor kit.

I did though see that they sell 10g pots of "Field's metal", which is similar to Wood's metal which is what they used to fix crystal into their cups in crystal set detectors. Basically, a low melting point alloy which melts at just 61 degrees C - well below boiling point of water, so won't damage the crystal, and is of course, electrically conductive as it needs to be in such an application.

It might be handy to know for anyone who might need to repair a crystal set detector.

But at £6.69 for 10 grammes (about 4 oz in "old money") it isn't cheap!

To put that into perspective, 10 grammes is what a one pound and a ten pence coin weigh together.

How do I know?

I've just weighed them.

Which only goes to show that I need to get out more

Maths a bit up the creek. 10 grammes is 0.35 Ounces (Avoirdupois)
