Would like info on these please
I have this pair of radios and cannot find any info or really anything about them. they are a pair that make a top band AM and CW transceiver and are working. Turning out 6 watts. Any info particularly circuit diagrams would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance. Fuzz

Some info on Contactor Switchgear here:-
http://www.historywebsite.co.uk/Muse.../contactor.htm The logo and location match. These would almost certainly have been advertised in Amateur Radio magazines during the period they were for sale.

I owned a set of these rigs some years ago but they were under a different name, I can't quite recall it but maybe "Star" something. I will ask a friend who is a bit of a guru on British amateur radio makers of yesteryear.

Re: Would like info on these please
My friend tells me the CSE series of equipment was also marketed under the name "Swanco Products" of Coventry. A search finds them in SWM for August 1968, amongst other editions.

The frequency bands suggest it may have been for marine use.

Re: Would like info on these please
There was a sequence of marketing adverts in SWM back in the 60s, starting with the cryptic "What is a CSE10?" Follow up something like "160M10WTX"
A set up was sold on ebay a few weeks back from Norwich area. Made about £60ish?? Rob

A marine band radio that didn't cover 2182kHz?

Re: Would like info on these please
It's intended for amateur-radio use: the markings on the controls use terminology that would be totally alien to the 'fishfone' users-of-the-day, and fishfones invariably used crystal-controlled transmitters so they only operated on their licensed frequencies.
