Default Kenwood DPM 4010 CD player problem.

This is a Kewood 6 disc cartridge player ,I have had it from new 70's/80's the problem is it takes a while four or five min to play it loads ok but just sits there, after a while it will decide to play, my first thoughts were maybe capacitor loosing the value in the power supply.
Having checked the high value ones which all read ok I checked a few of the lower value ones no problem there, having said that there is quite a few that I haven't checked , any thoughts please. Mick.

Does it focus, spin and read the TOC in a timely way, or is that where the delay is?

Is the lens clean?

So it reads the TOC and displays the CD total time, then gets stuck?

If you can give me the model number, I can look it up on Euras for you.

Cleaning the old grease off the laser sled rails and replacing with fresh grease sometimes helps. It cant do any harm.
