NBTV alert!
Just a reminder that the annual NBTVA Convention at Loughborough University is coming up this Saturday 21st April.
Full details are HERE. Among the cruder exhibits will be my full colour mechanical camera and monitor, along with (hopefully) working stereoscopic attachments. Steve

Re: NBTV alert!
Well, I ran up my stereoscopic rig today, added some minor improvements and I can confirm it's working well. Though it's not exactly vista-vision - you peer into a box (with both eyes) and see the flickery stereo image at the other end. Did Baird do something like this in 1941?
The problem will be the programmes. Looking at Mickey and a Daz packet, even in 3D relief, palls after a while... Steve

Re: NBTV alert!
Heh heh...too right!
On the NBTV Board HERE one of the members has dug out Baird's original patent for his colour stereo system. It dates from 1941. I find it fascinating how he basically adopted the same approach as me, though with some vital differences ! Steve
