Bush RP60 very low volume
Hi I have a Bush RP60 that was working fine initially and then suddenly the volume has deteriorated to a very low level, what should i be looking for amp problem or speaker.

Re: Bush RP60 very low volume
You need to do some testing on the player, the player is a live chassis version, do you have any experience on working on 230 volt equipment, have you any tools and test equipment?
It’s a simple player with not much to go wrong and should be relatively straightforward to fix, just need to know your capabilities before lots of advice.

Re: Bush RP60 very low volume
It could also be that the cartridge has packed up if it's the original. In case you aren't familiar with that term, it's the thing in the end of the arm that holds the stylus (needle). If you very carefully remove the push -on connectors at the back of it, and touch the metal tags on the end of each wire with a thin screwdriver, you should get a loud buzz from the speaker (with the volume turned right up). If you do get that buzz, then that points to the cartridge having packed up. If no buzz, then the fault is with the amp.
