Armstrong 626 Stereo Decoder
I have an Armstrong 626 tuner/amp which generally works very well except that periodically the FM stereo indicator flickers and the sound "motorboats". On the decoder board there are three large resistors in parallel which get vey hot, so much so that the soldered joints fail. If I re-solder them and re-set the PSU voltage, which seems to creep up by a volt or two, the problem goes away for a while. I would like to replace the resistors, but they are so burnt I can't see what the values are. The problem is that the circuit diagram I have shows the board designation as L14 whereas the board in my unit is L15 and looks completely different. Does anybody have the correct diagram?
