Default Forum time?

Don't know if its me or the forum but posts are appearing with the time of post marked at an hour ahead of the actual time.

It's probably worth checking in your profile what time zone you have set. If you're set to Central European Time (or whatever it's called) you will be one hour ahead.

The forum operates internally on GMT and adjusts what you see according to your local time zone as stated in your profile.

User CP - Edit Options.

Scroll down to the date and time part, make sure it is set to GMT and to detect DST.

It does it to me if I'm logged out for some reason?

Regards

If you are logged out it follows the software default. That was GMT+1 but I have changed it to GMT, which will be wrong in the summer but at least makes sense.

This was bothering me recently until I discovered that the device I was using was not actually logged in as me. It corrected itself after I logged in.

I was going to post about it but discovered just in time that it was a self inflicted problem. That won't be true in every case but at least be warned - it happens as mentioned in Post #6 above.

You could write a little script to set GMT/BST as appropriate, but it's probably not worth bothering about.

At least if the default is GMT, that is equivalent to Universal Time (UT), which is an international standard used in some circumstances (where time zones are inappropriate).

The BST option for non-logged-in users is supposed to do that but it doesn't work for some reason. It does work correctly when logged in though, which is more important.
