Re: Scottish Meet 2012
Hi Folks, It's just over a week to the Scottish Meet and I am trying to get my workshop into some kind of order. If anyone else is interested in attending them please let me know. People from the English side of the border welcome (no passports required yet). We don't bite and it's usually a good day out. Best regards, Norman.

Re: Scottish Meet 2012
If anybody needs a lift from Crossford/Dunfermline, just PM.
David Peter, if you need aircraft instruments, I believe Chief Petty Officer Pertwee and Able Seaman Johnson dumped a load off at Dalgety Bay in a ploy to create a shortage and put the price up...

Re: Scottish Meet 2012
Well, someone dumped some radioactive ooh-nasty on the shore at Dalgety Bay, and there can't be that many such stores 'operatives' in the navy, can there? It had to have been Mr Pertwee, when Captain Povey wasn't looking.
Very Oooh nasty indeed. Kalee99 messes around with geiger counters and stuff like that, and you only have to look at his thumbnail to see what it's done to him. Has everyone coming to Fife for the first time been told that they need Hazmat suits until they get safely past Kircaldy? David

Re: Scottish Meet 2012
Hi David, When you meet Paul you will se he his nothing like his avatar. And it is Kirkcaldy (not like me to pick up on spelling mistakes). I look forward to meeting you on the day, we are a friendly bunch honestly?? Best regards to all. Norman

Re: Scottish Meet 2012
Hi Norman, I keep getting Kirkcaldy wrong. I should have played safe and picked Glenrothes. To preserve symmetry I can never remember Torphichen which seems to grow additional 'f's and 't's.
My thumbnail is real. I'm the more intelligent looking one of the pair. I have no idea who the guy on top is. David

Hi Norman , all
I am hoping to see you all myself and was wondering if anyone could make use of a good, working Mullard AW 21/11 CRT and scan coils . Removed a while ago from a Perdio portarama, free of charge to the first taker! I will bring it with me on Sunday kind regards Terry

Re: Scottish Meet 2012
There was a good turn-out of regulars and new faces and I certainly enjoyed catching up with the olds and meeting the news.
Paul of skeletal fame brought along his Geiger counter and I was very pleased to discover that my aircraft instruments displayed negligible counts when compared with his pocket watch. I won't feel quite so guilty about having the grandchildren in my den from now on. I didn't take my camera but there were a few pictures taken so hopefully others will better document the event. Many thanks to Norman and Donna not to mention other family members who keep a constant stream of nice food and refreshments throughout the day. Peter |

Re: Scottish Meet 2012
Thanks, Norman and family.
What a buffet! and perpetual tea for those fuelled by it. A thoroughly enjoyable occasion and a chance to put faces to some names. David

Re: Scottish Meet 2012
Thank you again to Norman and Family for excellent food (again) and for being able to stick my camper down the drive in order to keep himself Hamish Boxer cool.
As stated an excellent day, yes I have pictures to post later.

Re: Scottish Meet 2012
I chatted to a few people today without being formally introduced. I am at the far right of picture 1 drinking the cup of tea.
