Default 332L dial repairable?

I washed this 1956 dial and much of the magnolia emulsion fell off the back and took black numbers with it.There are still light imprints of the digits in the plastic .can this be restored?Does anyone have a suitable spare,if not.

I have been advised to 'ink' the numbers in ,wait a few seconds then wipe over with a T towel.Later paint with emulsion or white Tipex.anybody ever tried?If so ,what ink
