Re: Article on Early Russian Transistor Portables in magazine
I really cannot "publish" a scan of an article in the current issue of a magazine.
But I can review it and enlarge a little on contents. This article across six pages with photos is well written by Robert Davidson. Its emphasis is more to do with production, style, and politics, than the technical side. But quite interesting none the less. Some good photos. I only buy this mag for the nostalgia articles, skipping some issues because they lack technical details. This is no exception, as there are no circuits or in depth technical discussion other than about the limited radio parts available to designers. There is discussion on who made what, and who copied whom. Some references are given for further reading. I searched the web for "Robert Davidson Transistor Radio" and presume from the results that this is the same author. Richard - with a glance I couldnt see Rigonda mentioned. Peter - I hope this is sufficient. |
