I'm staying at the Coventry Travelodge for £29. Nearest Travelodge (Rugby?) was £39 and Coventry is near enough. No idea if it's still £29.

I am so looking forard to NVCF, making a weekend out of it and I am thinking about where to stay too.

Bring money... and not the wife... I so had to laugh at that quote...

Just for the record I will be bringing money and the husband.

We stayed at the Travelodge in Nuneaton Bedworth last year for £9. its about 20 miles away, but the price will probably have gone up.

If anyone from further North from me (2 miles from M62 J26) you are welcome to leave your car here and be a passenger, as I will have some spare seats in my car and it'll prevent me buying too much!

PM me if interested.

TTFN,
Jon
If there is serious interest I will look into getting something set up at Cafe Press (there is no outlay for me and they are made to order in one-offs).

I'm not at all sure about all this enthusiasm. I went for the first time last year. It was only for half a day as it clashed with a family 'event'. I was just there to pick up a couple of things that Forum members had kindly transported, and to have a quick look round. In practice I came away with a full car, an empty wallet and nearly missed the event.
On the other hand I have lived it down now, and I am better organised, and I know what it's like, so I think I'll risk it

Hello,

For a first-timer such as myself, is there an explanation of how the B&B stall works? The above is reasonably clear, but just in case there's something I've missed...

I've got a number of items that I'd like to offload, do I just turn up on the day and give them to you?

Cheers,

Mark

Basically yes. You need to price them (there will be tickets available on the stall and probably to download/print here in due course too) and if they are sold then 10% goes to the museum and the rest to you. If you are open to offers then chat to the stall helpers to see if that's possible.

You must return to the stall at the end of the day to collect your takings and remove any unsold items.

Even if you are donating all the proceeds to the Museum, do not assume all your items will sell. The organisers do not want to be left with unsold items whether on the B&B stall or anywhere else.
