Re: 1951 Bush TV22 405 line B/W Television set
The finishing touch would be a set of chassis labels.

Re: 1951 Bush TV22 405 line B/W Television set
That's one of the simplest chassis I've ever seen in a TV!
Nice job on the set, I wouldn't mind one like that myself! |

Re: 1951 Bush TV22 405 line B/W Television set
Fine here using Foxit 3.1 and Acrobat 9.2. Won't open with Acrobat 5 so it look slike the PDF file uses features that are not compatible with some earlier readers. If you're still using Acrobat 6 I suggest you try Foxit. It's much smaller and faster than Acrobat 9.x.

Re: 1951 Bush TV22 405 line B/W Television set
Hello Jeffrey,
Thank you fr your suggestion. I didn;'t want to mess with my Adobe since ity's also a writer as well as a reader. Is your Foxit suggestion a standalone, non interfering reader that will leave my Adobe alone? Regards, Andy

Re: 1951 Bush TV22 405 line B/W Television set
I have no problems with Acrobat 5 writer and Foxit running on the same system. I also have Acrobat 9.2 reader installed for those rare occasions where Foxit gets things wrong.

Re: 1951 Bush TV22 405 line B/W Television set
Hello again, I printed those off but they're from a TV22 mark 2 and I think slightly different from those on the mark 1. The 'width' and 'horizontal form' labels are correct but the label on the EHT valve cover is different. The label on the dropper assembly is absent too. Does anyone have a jpg set of repro labels for a TV22 mark 1 please and I'll stick them on. Thanks. Howard |

Re: 1951 Bush TV22 405 line B/W Television set
I've just found a pic of the TV22 as it was at the July 2009 WB auction ...
http://www.bvws.org.uk/auctions/phot...s/img_3450.jpg I'm still looking for some labels. Howard |

Re: 1951 Bush TV22 405 line B/W Television set
Nice one, Howard. Were the above labels not what you wanted?
We had one in rental in the late 1960's that was used continuously; all it even needed was an annual replacement of the PL38 and PZ30. They (and all the Bushes from that era) are damn good sets!

Re: 1951 Bush TV22 405 line B/W Television set
Hello Mike,
No, the labels featured in the thread in the link above are from a later TV22 model, the labels in mine were as in this set .... http://bs.cyty.com/menschen/e-etzold...22_hinten3.jpg There was a label on the left-hand dropper assembly and two labels on the EHT valve cover which aren't on the above link. We will be performing the Darius mod soon which should reduce wear on the PL38. Howard |

Well done howard, looks like polished chassis are the latest thing
But seriously, what a splendid job. I too am a radio only person, but seeing yor write-up, pushes me nearer & nearer to acquiring my first TV restoration project. I doff my cap to you, Regards Paul.

I've not seen this thread before but the set looks really nice. It must be quite compact too if you can sit it on a 9" wall.
