Hi
I have a Stella dual standard G6 in my collection, I think it was manufactured in 1967.
Regards
Gary.

The Stella brand was dropped soon after Philips acquired a controlling interest in Pye, in 1967. Former Stella branded Philips products were then sold with Pye branding, such as cassette and open reel tape recorders.

Think it must have been the early 1970s. I don't think they were any single standard 625-line sets with that brand name.
Perhaps this had something to do with the recent acquisition of the Pye brand?
Pye, as we know, continued producing their own sets until the Philips G11 was introduced around 1977.

EDIT - Post crossed with Dazzlevision above.
Worth mentioning the Pye CT200 solid state set had a Philips badged model too.

Stella was the brand used to distribute Philips made products through wholesalers. Have never seen a single standard Stella TV set. Alba was an independent company which gave up making TV sets in 1963.

Hi
That's the set I have, it even has the silver extension running knob still with it.
It had a nos LOPT fitted by it's previous owner so works very well on both standards.
Regards.
Gary.
