Bing Pigmy child's gramophone value?
I wonder if anyone can give me a rough guide for what this Bing Pigmy childs gramophone is worth (to buy). It dates from 1910-1915 and like all of these baby gramophones seem to be it is made in Germany.
It's in very good condition and working. Priced up at £220. The seller also has a pile of records on the Little Wonder label to fit on the 5 1/2" turntable but they are asking £5 each for those which I suspect is too much. This is a library picture of the same model. |

Hmmm....... I could be VERY wrong here, but to me, that looks almost too good to be true. Over 100 years old, and looks as though it's fresh out of the factory. There are quite a few of these on offer on the auction sites, and they seem to asking around this price, but this one I would be wary of. As to the records, that's what you call optimism. I have some of the same that I'd gladly sell for a pound each!

I believe that's a library picture rather than the one one sale.

The easiest way to check the date is to date the biscuit tin surely.
It could be revealing. |

Re: Bing Pigmy child's gramophone value?
I was thinking of the one it was built in but since a better photo has been shown proving that the tin was custom made the question has been retracted.
