Wanted: Ekco UAW78. - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

I'm looking for an Ekco AC97. I know they fetch lots of money, and I'm also aware of Ebay, so no discussion in those areas needed please! Photo of an AC97 below.

Good luck with your search. They really are gorgeous. They do come up from time to time, without having to pay silly money.

Thanks Richard. I've had a few bakelite 30s deco Ekcos in the past, but have always wanted the AC97.

Could a moderator please include Ekco AC74 and UAW78 in the title as well as AC97? Otherwise they are mentioned well down in the thread and may get missed unless someone happens to read the whole of a thread that on the face of it doesn't really interest or concern them. Thanks.

Thanks Richard. Like I say, I am aware of Ebay and - selfish though it may seem at first - alerting everyone to sets has the effect of bidding wars, price escalation and sometimes worse*. So if people could please PM me directly with information, thanks.

* I have been gazumped in the past on forums by people unfairly jumping in on the back of my wanted ad and contacting the seller to do a 'behind my back' deal. I was after one very hard to find part for years, and some sneak quickly contacted the seller and snatched it from under my nose. So that's why I'm tetchy about it!

Update. Following recent purchases my 'wanted' list has now changed a tad. I am now looking for:

UAW78
AC64
AC97 Black
AC74 Black
