Default TEST SET PORTABLE No2 MK.11

Just acquired this wee gem of a WD multimeter yesterday, 6" x 4.25" x 3". Sturdy Bakelite case with a rear battery compartment for a 12V dry battery.
Inside the front lid is a black etched paxolin sheet with the instructions & a circuit diagram. ( A sod to read, and photograph). Initial tests show it to be jolly accurate DC Volts, mA, & Ohms - wise.
Full title is as shown above. Moulded into the inside of the rear battery cover & casing is :- B.P.L. LTD 1941
On the meter's scale plate is :- BALDWIN INSTRUMENTS CO. LTD No 10615 1942. Written in white on the inside of the rear cover is :- Z4 WY 3253
According to Grace's Guide back in 1947 Baldwins made precision test equipment.
I've had a shufti at the VMARS huge document archive list, but couldn't find anything specific. Also have done a Google trawl, but again - nowt.
The circuit diagram tells me that the 12V battery is a :- BATTERY DRY, REFILL 8CELL No1 MK1.
Any help or advice most welcome, please.

Regards, David

I saw that beast on ebay, very nice. Can't be too many of them about.

This wasn't an eBay purchase - found it in a local collectables shop.
My wife, a keen photographer, has managed a better macro picture than my effort, of the instructions & circuit diagram.
