Radio identification
Can anyone identify the make and model of the radio in this picture please? It is to help us date some material that will probably be on the next BVWS DVD.

Re: Radio identification
Hello Paul,
I think a 1939/40 KB. Looks to be closely related - a slightly smaller brother? - to this one, especially as regards tuning scale (station positions and waveband indicator on right) and knobs. Sorry about the skewed photo, but the set's in somewhat of a storage location: I could probably get to it in a couple of days to check the model number if researches don't pin the pictured radio down in the meantime. I suspect mine is an 850 (August '39 release). Regards, Paul EDIT: Not sure the one depicted is any smaller than mine, so an early wartime version of the same model in a simplified cabinet may be a strong possibility.
