Walter 101 Player value?
Hi
I was hoping somebody could help me - I've found an old Walter 101 Reel-to-Reel tape player in the garage of my new house. It's seen better days but is in working condition, there's a tape on it and I managed to get it to play. Roughly what would the value of it be in it's current state? I've attached a picture for reference Thanks |

Re: Walter 101 Player value?
Walter tape recorders don't have a big following, as they were very much at the bottom of the market when they were made. I'd guess this is only worth £10-20, if that.

Re: Walter 101 Player value?
Indeed. I'll be surprised if the one currently on eBay attracts a single bid

Re: Walter 101 Player value?
See there are a couple on eBay, where sellers have set min bid price as £40 and £50 but I have no real idea what they might typically sell for.
I think £40/£50 might be possibly pushing it. They are not that common and a Walter enthusiast might be willing to pay that sort of money. David |

Yes, the EF86s are probably worth more than the complete machine.
I had one of these; dismal it was Bill |

Re: Walter 101 Player value?
The short answer to the OP's question, unfortunately, is "not much". He hasn't been back - was it somethng we said?

Re: Walter 101 Player value?
Four posts discussing an eBay auction deleted.
As the OP never returned this thread is closed. He and anyone else can read the comments, which say pretty much all there is to be said. |

Quick update everyone. Advertised it on Facebook and managed to sell it to a local buyer for £35!
