Default BVWS Wootton Bassett 6th December

Hi All,

Have been very busy getting everything ready for this coming Sunday Meeting at Wootton Bassett.

So far there are about 260 Auction lots and a great deal of the stuff has been photographed and will be up on the BVWS website just as soon as Paul has the time to do it, so look out for this stuff as there is even a Baird Televisor (parts) in the sale as well as a pre-war TV...

Usual times: 10:00am stallholders 10:30 for all members and visitors.

Loads of good home cooked food and cakes, and don't forget the mince pies on the door!

See you all there...

Mike...

Car broken down... not fixed till after auction. This was going to be my first WB auction. Ah well, suppose there's always the next one.

I intend to be there.

As far as I'm aware, the only items which I was originally intending to take to WB were those for Jeffrey - which I managed to pass on at Lowton. Please remind me if there is anything else I have forgotten. I'm hoping to pick up a SCSI lead from Jezzer3.

My stepmother, who came along to WB last year, enjoyed the day sufficiently that she wishes to be my guest again this year. One advantage is that it limits how much I can acquire, as I can't pile things on the passenger seat

Just a reminder to myself, I will have Dave's lead, plus an HMV for Steve, and will collect a book from Trevor. I may also have sets to disperse from Setsappeal.
See you all there.

I have received 130+ photos from Mike which I will put on the BVWS website tomorrow morning.

I am planning to be there, probably on stage helping with the auction as usual.

Photos of 130+ lots are here http://www.bvws.org.uk/auctions/phot...2009/index.htm

There will be more on the day but Mike does not have the time to photograph any more. The catalogue should be online by tomorrow evening.

The catalogue up to lot 164 is attached. It will be on the BVWS website shortly.

There will be more lots added on the day (Mike said around 260 total in the initial post).

Don't rely on filenames to indicate details of the set or the lot number. Some may but many won't.

Given Paul's earlier comment that Mike B. was taking the photographs, he (MB) is the most likely candidate.

Paul - thanks for the (partial) catalogue, which I shall peruse shortly.

Just a reminder to myself really to remember to take Dazzlevision's manuals to him and collect a small television for Parabola. I'm sure there's something else but I'm if I can remember If I'm meant to take or collect anything please give me a nudge

Just to let everyone know, All of the Stalls at Wootton Bassett are now sold out. I had to turn one person away this morning, which I do not like to do.

We have a full compliment of 25 Stalls in the hall plus the usual Bring & Buy in the annex.

Anyone wanting to bring items along on the day to sell should take them through to the B&B stall where they will do their best to sell it for you.

As you will have seen, the auction pictures and downloadable catalogue are on the BVWS website, but I am still adding more interesting items.

See you all on Sunday,

Mike...

I'm seriously thinking about making the trek from Cambridge down to Wootton Bassett for this event. There are several things in the auction that go firmly into the 'I'd love one of those, but have no idea where I'd put it' category. I'm also on the lookout for all sorts of other bits and pieces for various projects. I should go, shouldn't I?
