Ten years?! Crumbs, it was ok until I realised I have been on here for seven years now. I was only 12 when I joined

Without this forum it would have been impossible for me to learn about electronics from so many people as well as meet so many new people and making new friends. It has also spurred me on and inspired me in this hobby and in other hobbies.

My house would also have a lot more space in it as well...

Can't wait for the next ten! I will be 29 then

Yes, thanks for creating this forum, it's full of very useful information and very helpful members. I couldn't have repaired anything without it.

I'm sure you were our youngest ever member back then too!

In April 2013 I'll have been here ten years - and I still haven't turned grey.

Congrats to the Forum!

My vintage radio/TV knowledge and experience has gained greatly, mainly from the help and advice received from many on here. Hopefully I've offered some back too!

Here's to the next 10!

My decade will be in November 2013, but my hair has turned grey; not because of the forum, I hasten to add.

It helped me come through some interesting times!

I'd like to ask a question of Paul if I may? What made you do it?

And take a look at this:

Just spotted this. Time flies, as someone has already mentioned (along with Groucho Marx). This forum has become essential reading for a great many enthusiasts of all calibres. Did you expect the thing to develop as it has, Paul? Like Topsy, it just grows and grows. I guess eventually every vintage radio enthusiast who is able to join it will do so. You may have almost reached that level already (OK, I know that technically it can NEVER be COMPLETELY full but forget technicality as its Christmas).
All that remains for me is to thank you and your moderators for the considerable and on-going efforts that you make to keep the forum running. Long may it - and you - continue.

I can't remember why or how it came about.

Archive.org only has copies from 2006 onwards which I think is when we changed from the original YaBB software to the current vBulletin. I think the forum started as a part of vintage-radio.com in late 2002 before moving to the vintage-radio.net domain in 2003 (the domain was first registered in 2003).

It's all a bit vague due to the mists of time!

Hi All,

I'd like to add to the thanks as well. I joined the forum in 2003 and it's been a daily thing for me every since. I like to look in the morning and then at my desk during lunch at work.

Thanks Paul for all the hard work and to all the many members for their great stories, pictures and input.
