I wouldn't be opening beer, only the best Champagne will do.
Happy Birthday. The forum has spawned friends both at home and worldwide and I've come to regard the members as my friends and extended family. Long may it continue. |

Re: Forum 10 years old today!
When I joined the forum, I had just revived my interest in vintage radio and was looking on the internet to see if there was any remote chance that anyone else was interested in this (as I thought) somewhat obscure hobby. I was very surprised to find how many others also shared the interest and found this forum.
Cheers everyone Rich

Well done Forum admins and users.
Lots of postings and always something interesting to read, plus good source for giving or receiving advice with a restoration job. John |

Re: Forum 10 years old today!
The most impressive aspect of this forum is the help you see given to someone who has just found it and made their first posting looking for help with a duff set.
This forum has done a lot of good for a lot of people in ten years. David

Re: Forum 10 years old today!
I don't have the time or space to indulge in collecting and restoring radios here, but the forum (and BVWS membership) allows me to keep involved. Keep restoring, keep discussing any problems and keep sharing the results.

Re: Forum 10 years old today!
Thanks to all involved in this forum and to Paul for his efforts. I'm pleased to have been a member for quite a few of those ten years -again, after wondering if there were other like-minded people out there repairing discarded electronics, then stumbling across this place! Finding lots of knowledgeable, generous people here has enriched my hobby, by extension my life.
Congratulations all round!

Re: Forum 10 years old today!
It seems appropriate to be able to acknowledge a decade of the Forum at Xmas although I had no idea that it was an inadvertent (or deliberate?) Xmas present for Vintage enthusiasts everywhere -some of us are more vintage ourselves now. Perhaps it's a good idea to remember those great individuals who are no longer here and didn't get that opportunity.
My details say 2006 but I'm pretty sure that it was 2004. I remember that I had to rejoin after the access dropped out at one point and my "status" couldn't be regained. It hardly matters, accept that I didn't realise I was an earlier member than I thought. Everyone else has acknowledged Mr S the founder and the support team, past and present, and I would also like to congratulate them on achieved a much more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere after some fairly fraught times-it's not easy we know! There are, of course, other Forums with a good attitude but the UK 3rs is a bit special and so are the people. Dave W |

Re: Forum 10 years old today!
Wow, 10 years... Must be one of the longest running forums on the web I guess.
