Help with copper inserts / rivets
I am in the process of restoring a P17B and have removed the handle etc from the case. These are held in place with blind copper inserts / rivets about 0.2 inch long with a shaft diameter of 0.1 inch - see picture.
Does anyone know where I can get suitable replacements? |

Google "Semi-hollow rivets"

Re: Help with copper inserts / rivets
Hello,
You might like to try a boat builder or chandler as copper rivets were used for "clinker" type construction. Hope this helps? George G4EUF. |

Re: Help with copper inserts / rivets
I have some ⅛" copper rivets which you might adapt to your purpose. These have 1" shanks. They have round heads, but a careful touch with a file should rectify that, and you should be able to produce the hollow part with a small drill.
The rivets are intended to fit ⅛" holes and are 0.1227" diameter (3.117mm). If you'd like some, PM me your name and address details and how many you need. No charge. Regards, |

Not hollow but easily formed at this size. FOC of course and I'm 4 miles from you. I'll PM you. Roy |
