Do the two chrome strips on the front panel come off ? (Without a hammer and Chisel !)

Thanks.

In short, yes, they clip on - good luck removing them!

Thanks for the reply, is there any secret or is it a case of a sharp knife to prise them off.

No real secret, as you suggest, just gently prise them off, be careful not to bend them - they are exceptionally thin and crease really easily

Thanks for the warning Sean, I am planning on doing a refurb on the front panel to make it look better than it is as it is badly scratched, fortunately the original paint job is semi gloss and the panel lettering is engraved into the panel. I had a go at removing scratches on the two chrome strips in situ and achieved excellent results using the wifes nail buffers ! I only need a magnifying glass now to see them which suits me fine. I will probably give the strips ten minutes with the hair dryer before I start trying to free them.
Many thanks.

Lawrence.
