PROM blower PROM 74S571.
Hello.
I am working on the realization of a clone MK14T I would like to realize the programmer of 74S571 have you a return? I intend to realize the PCB, but the plan seems wrong to me there is a mismatch of addresses:- https://hackaday.io/project/25953-pr...rom-programmer I found another schematic on this site may without programming https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...=145663&page=3 |

Re: PROM blower PROM 74S571.
Hello Philoupat83,
Most of the 74S571 ICs available on the market currently are Czech-made Tesla MH74S571 and we do not have a finished, documented project for programming those here on this site. This is as close as we have come so far:- https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=160247 The electrical process for programming the Tesla devices is completely different from the process used for programming the National Semiconductor version, so programmers and programmer projects designed to program the DM74S571 do not work for the Tesla MH74S571. One forum member here appears to be able to program the Tesla MH74S571 but he is very difficult to contact as he is not around most of the time. If you just need a pair of programmed proms I would suggest emailing either this source in Czechoslovakia: http://www.8bity.cz/kontakty/ I know that this Czech source can supply either the 'Old' OS or the 'New' OS. Unfortunately I do not know what the cost is. Or this source in the UK. http://jmprecision.co.uk/shopping/pg...&=SID#MOREINFO The price is there on the page but the information does not state whether the OS in the supplied PROMs is the 'old' version or the 'new' version. Maybe if you can contact him first, you can request the version you want? |

I'm glad you have made progress. Please return and show us your MK14 when you have it working. Good luck!

Re: PROM blower PROM 74S571.
I believe Philoupat83 fetched that stripboard image from the article he linked to in his first post, namely
https://hackaday.io/project/25953-pr...rom-programmer The original image is about half way down through that article. You'll probably have to direct your question to the author of the article, unless anyone here happens to recognise the artwork style? |

Re: PROM blower PROM 74S571.
Très bon, I see a 3D-printed enclosure!
I also have a PIC14 built to Karen's design. Mine is made in a ready-made 'calculator' enclosure and uses a PIC evaluation PCB from Microchip (see images) Karen is a forum member here, as you may have seen. |

Re: PROM blower PROM 74S571.
Did you also 3D-print your buttons? How did you put the letters, numbers, and words on the buttons?

It can not program the Tesla MH74S571 because the programming circuit for those is different. Your thread title does not say which 74S571 you wish to program. |
