RS Components IC code Nos.
Hi, does anyone have any old RS Components data sheets? As i am trying to identify some 18 pin DIL chips supplied by RS with their code No 303-422. According to the date code on them they date from 1985. RS themselves can't/wont help and I've drawn a blank with any other sorces. The members of this forum seem to collectivly hold a massive amount of information and you are my last chance.
Regards, John. |

Re: RS Components IC code Nos.
My memory might be playing tricks and I dont have any of my old diagrams or BoMs to hand but the RS number sound familiar to me as a 8 channel Darlington driver chip that are pretty ubiquitous even nowadays.
Ian Mike beat me to it, but at least I know my memory is not too bad Last edited by elanman99; 27th Sep 2019 at 9:02 pm. Reason: update |

ULN2800 series- weren't they originally Sprague parts? Certainly became ubiquitous, anyway.

Re: RS Components IC code Nos.
In a 1987 RS catalogue, the 303-422 is a Sprague ULN2803A, i.e. the 50V version with a 2k7 input resistor.

Hi govjohn,I finally found my Nov 1991 RS cross reference list and it is shown as a 2803a which is as previously stated a Darlington array.Best regards,Peter.
