Hello,
I found on the forum the drawings of this DWM, and I success in finding the trouble : an OP amp is died ( LF356) But i think that it would be usefull to recalibrate this section: ofset pot on the OP and gain ? Somebody have the full documentation with the calibration procedure ? Thanks Best regards Radiolo |

Re: 7045 Solatron Enertec Schlumberger
Solartron 7045. I attach the full operating and service manuals. There is not a lot on calibration as such. I suppose because it is so straightforward; set for correct reading at one point on each range. But it does contain principles of operation of the digital part and some waveforms which are helpful when fault tracing. The vital thing is the main Integrated circuit, (IC8 made by Plessey). It tends to fail, and is no longer available, with no alternative commercial equivalent. I had to dump six of these meters several years ago, all with the same IC failure. Your LF356 failure should give no difficulty. Industry standard IC, from lots of makers. Bill m0wpn

Re: 7045 Solatron Enertec Schlumberger
The information on this site is invaluable. I have rescued a 7045 where three out of four Tantalums in the PSU had failed short circuit. Replaced all four with modern electrolytic and it now works fine.
