Default Help needed with KB KV015

Hi all,
A friend of mine's everyday television has decided to start playing up. It's a KB KV015 dual standard set. It's the first time it's let him down since 1989!

He says it's working but the frame and line hold will not lock. He asked me for advice but as I still know very little about televisions I thought I would pick your brains!

He has a circuit from Practical Television (Aug 1970) and I have Trader sheet 1836, so component references from either of those would be of great help.

Cheers,
Josh.

Hi Josh

It sounds like a poorly sync separator.

In the 1836 Trader sheet its V8b which is the pentode section of a PCF80. As well as the valve check R63 and R66 and see if that offers a cure.

Definitely!

My friend was over the moon with how quickly and accurately someone was able to help! If he ever gets on the internet I'll make sure he joins up. He's got quite a big collection of radios and a few TVs as well. The KB is his main television!
