BSR SX6M. What Stylus?
Hi Everyone,
What is the best stylus to use for my BSR SX6M? I'm only going to play 45's and 33's. What types fit the BSR SX6M. ATB, Vin

If you are only going to play microgoove records, then be sure to get the LPS/LPS double sided type.

Re: BSR SX6M What Stylus
check the ceramic cartridge data sticky. ST15 probably the best here.

Re: BSR SX6M What Stylus
One of the pins broke (due to corrosion) whilst disconnecting for cleaning may try to fix but are there any other cartridges that fit the mounts for the SX6M?

Re: BSR SX6M. What Stylus?
Is it a Stereo cartridge (4 pin) you need - or just a stereo-compatible type (2 pin)? If you don't know, what type of player are you using?

Re: BSR SX6M. What Stylus?
The BSR SX6M is a stereo cartridge with four pins.

Yes, but is a true stereo cartridge actually required for Vin's record player?

Does not post #7 supply the answer?

An sx5m, (or x5m for mono - what player is this going into?), but they are hard to find and expensive. I would go for an SC12 instead.

Re: BSR SX6M. What Stylus?
SC5M and SC5H ceramic cartridges should fit the SX6M mount, but the output of these is a lot lower. I could probably fix the SX6M for you, I've got spare parts, but I'm a long way away.

Re: BSR SX6M. What Stylus?
Are you sure one channel on the cart does not work? or could it be the player that has a channel down?
If it's confirmed as the cart then I could fix it for price of postage. Gaz. |

Re: BSR SX6M. What Stylus?
Please bear in mind that one of the pins has broken.
