It may be a slightly off set gun assembly David. The tube will probably be OK in another model of receiver. Brilliant picture. Is it a Mullard or Mazda tube? John.

Hi John,
I was also thinking about the possibility of an off-set gun assembly.
The tube is a yellow label Mullard MW31-74, it's a very late production tube made in 1966. By that year there wouldn't be many people willing spend hard earned cash on a 12" round tube TV set.
Tube has the CT8 cavity final anode connector.
