Default Enertec 5216.

Hello

I've got a faulty Enertec 5216.
The guy who gave it to me said he had a smoke and a "THT smelling" when he powered on.
On Z2 board, CR1 to CR3 seem to have fused.
Did anyone had such a fault ?
Do you think other boards can be damaged ?
Any suggestion before reapplying power ?

Does anyone have any service manual ?
I saw in a previous post a partial doc "PSU & EHT", but I would like to have PC boards pics for the Z2 and Z4 boards...

Thank you for any help you could bring !
Regards
Francois

I have a 5218 that also had a power supply blowing fuses.
It was rectifiers and an odd voltage zener diode.
The PDA is still playing up though.
Circuit diagrams are very difficult to get hold of.

Enertec 5216. You have obviously found my posting of 20 May 2013 on the power supply. I now attach a repeat of the circuits posted, and have added the board layouts for Z1, Z2 and Z3. I doubt if you will find a layout of Z4, as it is the EHT multiplier, and is just a string of diodes and capacitors. So you now will have the circuits and PCB layouts for the LV psu, EHT psu,and Bright-up. It is just within the posting size limit.
I have the complete manual, but it comes to over 16Mb, and I prefer to send it by CD. Send me a Private Message if you want it, at cost.
Please let us know what you find and how you solved the fault. wme_bill m0wpn
