Cossor 348 and 338
I am ready to start renovation of a 1930's Cossor receiver - however...
The radio has a cabinet identical to that found on the Model 338 (Battery) and Model 348 (Mains). The radio chassis is mechanically identical to a Model 348. Both these models however are LW/MW/SW with the SW operation being a single conversion superhet, LW and MW operation being a TRF (honest!). My radio is LW/MW only, the dial clearly marked as such and selector switch does not have a SW position. It seems to be a TRF only. It does however have a G (Gram) position on the selector switch and the back panel has a PU connector adjacent to the Antenna/Ground connection. This is not present on the Model 338/348. The valve line up is Pentode/Pentode/Tetrode (VP4A/VP4A/KT42 with a IW4/350 rectifier) I have searched extensively but cannot discover a model number or circuit diagram. Unfortunately the unit has no back, which would have been most useful. Is there a Cossor expert out there who can lighten my darkness? |

Re: Cossor 348 and 338
This sort of question always occurs when I am 100 miles or more away from my archive
I am out and about at the moment but have a look on www.cossor.co.uk and see if I have uploaded all those rogues yet Cheers Mike T

I have a similar Cossor which defeated me to find the model number, similar to yours, Bob?
