Default Goblin Timespot

In looking for an ECH35 I've noticed that there are some valves that are marked CV1347 and are grey instead of red, I assume they are one and the same? Any info would be much appreciated, many thanks.

If down as equiv, then the grey is screened just the same.

Yes, that CV number is correct replacement.

I'm confused - your post is titled "Goblin Timespot" but you are enquiring about an ECH35 valve. The Timespot does not use that valve.

There are maybe THREE Goblin Timespot Radios
One does use an ECH35

another

Rarer

Gold and grey have been used on Mullard / Philips Valves as well as the famous red. Not all ECH35 are Mullard either.

Ah OK I stand corrected! I have only ever seen them with a 6K8. Looking at the notes it looks like the ECH35 one might be an export version, it also has a permanent magnet speaker which is different to mine - mine has a field coil speaker.
